TRAINEE ASSISTANT MANAGER (RETAIL) – ADVERT

Job Brief:

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to fill the position of Trainee Assistant Manager in one of our branches. The ideal candidate should be able to perform the following;

Duties

• Assists the Retail Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
• Coordinates daily customer service operations (e.g. sales processes, orders and payments)
• Tracks the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives
• Monitors and maintain store inventory
• Evaluates employee performance and identify hiring and training needs
• Supervises and motivates staff to perform their best
• Coaches and supports new and existing Staff
• Monitors retail operating costs, budgets and resources
• Communicates with clients and evaluate their needs
• Analyses consumer behaviour and adjust product positioning
• Handles complaints from customers
• Creates reports, analyses and interprets retail data, like revenues, expenses and competition
• Conducts regular audits to ensure the store is functional and presentable
• Makes sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines

Experience

• 1 – 3 years relevant experience in a furniture business or any retail outlet.

Qualification

• Tertiary Qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration or similar.
