GENERAL MANAGER

POSITION AT TSWANA PRIDE.

Tswana Pride is the largest Chicken Producer in Botswana and is situated in Notwane close to Gaborone in Botswana.

The General Manager position will become vacant and suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to submit their applications to the HR Manager.

This position is a senior position within the organisation and requires a well qualified person with relevant managerial experienced within the Chicken Industry.

1. The ideal candidate will possess the following formal qualifications and experience: Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture having specialised in Animal Science and Meat Science.
2. 10 to 15 years experience with a proven track record within the chicken industry at senior management level within established leading organisations.
3. Extensive knowledge and practical experience of chicken rearing, chicken processing distribution and sales and marketing of chicken products to the wholesale, retail and Quick Service Restaurants (QSR’s).
4. Financial acumen to draw up and manage annual budgets, monthly financial and management accounts, day to day expenditure and capital expenditure. The GM will be accountable for the overall performance and profitability of the organisation.

5. Be familiar with requirements for QSR’s especially for KFC and Nando’s as it is the company’s strategy to remain the preferred supplier of locally produced products to the QSR sector in Botswana. It is essential for applicants to have been involved in the required QSR audits to the point of successfully being approved as a supplier to KFC and Nando’s.
6. Possess the required social skills required to interact at various levels within the organisation as well as outside the organisation. This will involve interaction with various Government Organisations, customers, suppliers. Directors and subordinates.
