Botswana’s pioneer electrical cable manufacturing company is undertaking a second multi-million Pula major expansion to expand and Upgrade manufacturing facility to boost its exports to SADC countries and also to meet domestic power industry demands This additional investment will enhance Botswana’s exports and cut down imports saving precious foreign exchange while creating additional jobs in the country. Following personnel are required immediately.

STRANDING, ARMOURING AND CORE LAYING MACHINE OPERATOR cum Cable manufacturing Plant Operator( TWO POSTS)

Skills and Competencies required

• In depth practical knowledge of electric armoured cable manufacturing process.
• Installation, Commissioning, setting up, and operation of Multiple -spindle Stranding, Armouring and Core Laying Machines

• Preventive and Breakdown maintenance of above machine
• Load scheduling, line output control and product integrity
• In-process inspection and testing of product under processing and Use of metrological instruments.
• Read/understand technical instructions, technical drawings, process charts,
• Familiarity with SABS/BS,/IS standards and their requirements.
• Ability to train and supervise freshly recruited unskilled staff,

We are looking for hands down person with at least 5 years of verifiable experience in a medium to large armoured cable manufacturing company. While no specific educational qualification is required, the person should be literate, be able to do basic technical/ mathematical calculations. Read and understand technical instructions/ manuals and drawings
