WORKSHOP PRODUCTION FOREMAN

A Francistown based Engineering Company requires the services of a WORKSHOP PRODUCTION FOREMAN.

The applicant should have the following qualification and experience.

• Must have served a recognised apprenticeship
• At least 10 years post apprentice experience in a production environment.
• Must be have had at least 5 years’ experience in a similar management position.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility essential.
• Must accept total responsibility for the results achieved by his department.
• Must be able to read Engineer drawings and ensure accuracy and quality is maintained.
• Must have a good understanding of vehicle mechanics.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of welding procedures and codes.
• Must be able to work under extreme pressure to meet deadlines and must be results driven.
• Must be able to supervise, and direct a staff 20 of skilled artisans in a production environment

• Must be familiar with ISO 9000 Quality system.
• Must be able to introduce new Quality Control Systems where these are required.
• Must be self-disciplined and motivated and have the ability to work with the minimum of supervision.
• Must have a Class B drivers Licence
• Must be prepared to travel outside of Botswana.

This is a senior position and an above average package is on offer to the right candidate.
