Community Based Interventions for HIV/AIDS in Botswana Project (ExCAB)

HPP Botswana is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the available positions of the upcoming USAID funded project to implement an activity to support the maintenance and uninterrupted delivery of quality HIV/AIDS services within communities and strengthen the community and health systems in Botswana with an emphasis on the delivery of integrated HIV services. This position is contingent on the project: Community Based Interventions for HIV/AIDS in Botswana Project (ExCAB).

Job opportunity: Assistant M&E Officer (Kweneng East 1 Francistown 1) Full Time

Job summary/ responsibilities:

The Assistant M&E Officer will work closely with all program staff in the field to implement the project M&E commitments, improve program quality through enhanced data management systems and processes. The Assistant will support the M&E duties in managing day to day M&E tasks arising in the project and providing technical support to field teams to ensure effective implementation of projects.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Assist in routine data collection and entry for various interventions implemented in the field and ensure that complete, accurate, clean and consistent data is shared with the M&E Manager for data analysis and action planning.
• Ensure proper filing of M&E documents including questionnaires, monitoring reports, datasets among others
• Participate in regular data verification and audit exercises to assess the quality of data reported and address any anomalies identified
• Submit weekly and monthly updates on M& E activities conducted in the field
• Participate in capacity building and mentorship activities for field staff in data collection and cleaning
• Keep the M&E database up to date and help program staff prepare periodic high quality reports
• Assist program staff during survey planning and implementation especially preparing logistics needed, participating in data collection and cleaning

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Social Sciences, Information Technology, Development Studies, Statistics or a related discipline with background in public health.
• The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in M&E with considerable experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.
