Software Developers / Support Technicians X2 – Alpha Direct

We are looking for a Software Developer to build and implement functional programs as well as provide technical support to customers. You will work with Product Managers throughout the software development life cycle. In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. If you also have experience in Agile frameworks and popular coding languages (e.g. Php, Node.JS, Javascript, etc.), we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to build efficient programs and systems that serve user needs.

Summary of Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software
• Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company
• Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns
• Analyse and test programs and products before formal launch
• Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace •Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

• Bachelor’s degree In Software Engineering or Computer Sciences
• 2 years + experience in software Engineering and Development

Proficiency in the following:

o PHP (Preferably on Laravel framework)

o Node. JSP MySQL databases

o Linux environment

Preference given to Botswana citizens.
