Responsible Pharmacist

Our client is in pursuit of a Responsible Pharmacist whom will be liable for managing, dispensing and making provision of prescriptions and non-prescription drugs in their pharmacy. The Responsible Pharmacist must ensure that they are operating in accordance with legislative and local governing bodies guidelines.

The successful candidate will be interacting with various stakeholders on a daily basis, focally the end-user/customer. In doing so, the Pharmacist will be involved in improving the quality of life of people, maintaining their health and offering unsolicited advice/information on the benefits of consumable and non-consumable products. A requisite component of the role will entail the vending of over-the-counter medical products and medical appliances.

Responsibilities for Pharmacist jobs include but are not limited to: 

• Dispensing of prescription medicines to our patrons.
• Confirming specific details on the prescription (dosage and labelling of medicine) to avoid the dispensing of incorrect medications. The Pharmacist must ensure the proper and safe supply of prescription medications as he/she will be held liable for any errors made.
• Maintain and safeguard a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
• Provide verification of different treatments compatibility.
• Advise patients of any adverse side-effects of medicines.
• Manage and facilitate the delivery of prescription medicines to patients
• Oversee and train pharmacy support staff
• Stay abreast of current acceptable pharmacy practices, introduction of innovative drugs/medicines in the market and their uses.

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for Pharmacist job: 

• Must be in possession of an accredited degree in Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Registered with BHPC
• 2+ years of experience
