AFGRI DIVISION: AFGRI EQUIPMENT – BOTSWANA

VACANT POSITION: JOHN DEERE TECHNICIAN

AFGRI requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to be appointed in the above mentioned vacant position at our Gaborone branch.

Requirements:

• Qualified John Deere Technician
• Have relevant heavy diesel trade qualifications
• 5 years relevant work experience
• John Deere equipment knowledge advantageous
• Knowledge in the agricultural environment
• Communication-, people & customer service skills
• Computer Literate
• Police Clearance
• Valid Driver’s License and PRDP
• Able to work long hours & travel extensively throughout Botswana

Duties Include but not limited to the following:

• Repair and maintain agricultural equipment and associated implements
• Diagnose, repair or replace defective parts, using hand / special tools.
• Carry out warranty work on new equipment
• Administration: Field Service Reports, Quotations and Repair Orders
• Load DTAC cases on problems found in the field
• Installation and setup of precision farming equipment
• General housekeeping and cleanliness
• Comply with Health and Safety Legislation at all times
• Customer satisfaction and follow ups
