To operate plant equipment in a manner that allows the production of final products to the required standards (efficiency, quality and quantity).
Key Performance Areas
- Operate the Carbonation, Thickening, Filtration, Calcining, Compaction/Salt Washing, Drying-Milling/Boilers, Turbo Alternator,SO2-CO2 Absorption, Water Treatment plants in a safe an efficient manner.
- Carryout basic maintenance in accord with safety regulations and approved engineering practice
- Monitor equipment operating parameters and intervene when appropriate or elevate deviations to the Shift Foreman
- Prepare reports for handover between shifts
- Operate in a safe manner, respecting occupational health and environmental requirements at all times
Requirements
- O Levels or equivalent, with passes in Maths, Science and English
- Possess a Trade B in either Mechanical, Instrumentation or an Electrical discipline
- Previous operator training will be an added advantage
