RECEIVING MANAGER

Sefalana Cash & Carry, a leading distributor of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Botswana, has a job opportunity for a Receiving Manager. The vacancy is available at Sefalana Broadhurst, located in Gaborone.

The ideal candidate must have:

• a minimum of a Botswana General Certificate in Secondary Education (BGCSE) or an equivalent academic qualification.
• at least three (3) years’ work experience in a supervisory role in a receiving department.
• practical knowledge of the goods that are sold in FMCG outlets e.g product descriptions, pack-size expressions, product variants, and able to read expiry dates.
• able to supervise a team of subordinates to achieve team motivation and superior results.
• attentive to details and able to review receiving documents to identify receiving errors or any discrepancies.
• be computer literate and able to learn, and use, new computer applications effectively.
• be self-driven, able to withstand work pressure, and cope in a fast-paced work environment.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• supervise a team of staff members to motivate them and produce superior results.
• ensure that the department adheres to set procedures so that goods are received accurately.
• ensure that the department adheres to the set security precautions to minimize stock losses.
• ensure that goods are entered into the inventory management system timely and accurately.
• implement the laid down procedures to ensure proper management of the damaged goods.
• investigate and resolve instances of receiving errors or breaches of receiving procedures.
• ensure that the department upholds the company’s hygiene and house-keeping standards.
