- HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER – GENERALIST

The position is based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland and therefore all interested applicants must be committed to working in a remote location and multicultural work environment. HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER – GENERALIST
In your HRBP role, you will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to proactively drive the mine people strategy, champion change, and provide HR Generalist support (advisory and operational) to the business. You will be the go-to HR professional for your dedicated business areas; offer coaching and advising employees and managers around people matters; and developing and managing business partnering relationships.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Human Resource Business Partner will carryout responsibilities in the following functional areas;
- Organisation development
- Performance management and improvement
- HR development
- HR administration
- Employee relations
- Wellness
- You will wear a strategic and operational hat, in a fast-paced, growing, multicultural environment
- In this role, the HR Business Partner, will support the business on all people matters
- You will help drive the business agenda through the development of an astute people plan and lead on talent, rewards, and generalist points
- You will deliver people strategies and manage hands on, day to day people tasks and ultimately be well versed in supporting intellectual, highly technical customer groups
- You will play an integral role in supporting the administration of the employee lifecycle from start to finish
- You will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment, building relationships with recruitment agencies, coordinating on-boarding and new start processes, managing changes to employee records, and overseeing the leave process
- Offer advice on disciplinary, grievance and performance issues
- Support the teams with HR policies, procedures, and processes
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related qualification
- At least six (6) years relevant post qualification experience in diverse human resource practices with thorough knowledge of Botswana Labour Laws practices
- A strong HR business partnering background, ideally gained within a similar industry
- You will have strong attention to detail, stakeholder management and in-depth employment law and best practice knowledge
- You should be comfortable working in multicultural settings
- Effectively work with minimal supervision when required
- Excellent attention to detail, a mature outlook, and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff across the business
- Reward and benefits experience is also desirable
- Should have experience working in a unionized environment
- Preferably you will be immediately available / available at short notice
