The Records Management & Information Management Officer will be responsible for formulation and implementation of records and information management strategies, policies and procedures ensuring accessibility, integrity, authenticity and security of the institution’s records.

- Develop and implement records and information management policies, procedures and standards to provide a framework for the institution’s records management.
- Develop and implement appropriate records classification systems to ensure integrity and security of records in accordance with accepted standards and procedures.
- Ensure that end-user data banks and computerized records and indexes are updated in accordance with internationally accepted classification
- Ensure up to date and accurate physical organization and classification of all records to ensure easy access and retrieval by users.
- Provide awareness on records management services and coordinate awareness initiatives to ensure adherence to proper records and information management
- Formulate and implement records retention and disposal schedule
- Develop and implement document disaster recovery plans for the institution
- Attends and contributes service to University committees.
Requirements
Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in Archives and Records Management or related information management qualification. Candidates must have 5 years post qualification experience in records and information management.
