The Company Seeks To Invite Suitably Qualified And Experienced Candidates For The Following Position:
CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR
REF: MCM 00000003
Job Summary:
To initiate, negotiate, place contracts and manage suppliers according to Mine standards and best practice
Key Activities:
- Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts through continuous engagement
- Ensures all deadlines and conditions described on contract conditions are met.
- Maintain and updates organized system of physical and digital records to ensure availability of information
- Supervises subordinates by ensuring compliance to set performance standards, policies and procedures in area of responsibility
- Manages the key effectiveness areas of subordinates by setting, monitoring and reviewing performance and taking remedial action as necessary
- Recommends and incorporate cost saving initiatives into budget and operates within approved parameters
- Prepares and issue tender enquiries for various works and services to prospective tenderers
- Facilitates technical and commercial tender evaluations and compiles tender evaluation and adjudication reports
- Negotiates and establishes contracts according to submitted customer requests and terms and conditions with potential business partners
- Manages commercial terms and conditions of contracts including administering and negotiating the renewal of time based contracts where appropriate and issues amendments to contracts where required
• Facilitates contracts and projects performance reviews and share status updates with stakeholders
- Administering day-to-day correspondence, amendments, retention’s, insurances, payment securities in respect of each contract closeout
- Ensures all requirements for Social Way requirement 8 are achieved and adhered to.
- Development and Monitoring of Service Level agreements
- Acts as a liaison between internal and external parties during contractual queries and during resolution of disputes
- Adheres to all safety, health and environment policies and procedures in area of responsibility.
- Identifies and implements creative and innovative ideas in order to improve the Mini Business Unit performance.
• Maintains effective relationships clients/partners/customers to ensure achievement o Mini Business Unit objectives.
- Takes responsibility for providing excellent services by developing self, applying skills, knowledge and experiences to improve and measure their own performance against set standards.
Technical competencies:
- Contracts Management
- Commercial law
- Fidic Conditions of Contract
- Computing Skills
- Tendering and Estimation
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Technical or Commercial Discipline i.e. Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Supply Chain Management /Business Administration or equivalent
- 5 years’ experience in procurement and mining environment
- Knowledge of SHE Management System ISO 45001: 2018 and ISO 14001: 2015
