TRANSPORT MANAGER

Transworld Foods is looking for a qualified candidate for a post of a Transport Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:

To plan, coordinate and implement a comprehensive fleet and distribution management system that ensures vehicles are always in operable conditions to support the business needs. The incumbent is also responsible for the provision of transport for business travel and corporate logistics, budgeting, cost analysis and reporting to ensure efficient and effective distribution matrix is maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist in preparations and management of the implementation of the transport and logistics business plan.
*Analyze operating costs, equipment utilization, fuel mileage, pay practices for accuracy and to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvement
* Ensuring timely and proper maintenance and repairs of vehicles.
* Tracking fuel usage and consumption rates
* Ensure fleet availability to meet all requests by scheduling, forecasting and surveying current user trends.
* Supervises, monitor and guide drivers in accordance with set standards on their daily performance.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Degree in Logistics/Transport/Fleet Management or any related field

EXPERIENCE:
* At least six (6) years relevant work experience, two of which must have been served at Transport Officer Level or equivalent
