VACANCY: ABATTOIR MANAGER

Tswana Pride (Pty) Ltd is looking for the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Abat­toir Manager. This position is a senior management position in the organization and requires a well-qualified person with relevant managerial experience in the food industry in areas of production, quality assurance and safety, health ana environmental (SHE) management. The incumbent will be responsible for managing all the production operations in the abattoir, ensuring maximum efficiency and product optimal mix and ensuring that all Quality Manage­ment Systems are met to guarantee consistent product quality.

Position Requirements

Qualification:

• A degree in Applied Sciences/ Food Science or related equivalent.
• Working knowledge of ISO 22000 and HACCP food safety management systems.
• ISO 22000 and/ or HACCP food safety management systems requirements and internal auditor training.

Experience:

• A minimum of ten (10) years relevant post qualification experience, with a proven track record in the food industry at management level within established leading organizations.
• Must be cognoscente with requirements for QSRs (especially Nandos and KFC).
• Proven production planning experience in a leading organization.
• Experience in value addition manufacturing.
