SUPPLY ASSISTANT

Job Purpose:

To oversee all daily operations of the supply chain end-to-end (Order creation, loading schedule, product receipts, distribution and/or storage at the depots) while making sure that the company HSSE policies and operational standards are upheld at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should:

• Should be a Degree holder In Supply & Logistics or equivalent
• Experience in supply chain operations and/or logistics are an added advantage
• Knowledge of planning/procedures and contrac­tor supervision.

Principal Accountabilities:

• To make sure that all activities relating to product sourcing (ordering, loading, receipt, storage and distribution) are performed according to ap­proved Supply Procedures.
• Process transactions (Order creation and receipt­ing) in SAP
• Conduct monthly reconciliations with suppliers for purchases and payments
• Compile supplier invoices, process and submit to

Finance for payment

• Maintain supplier accounts as current at all times
• Track and reconcile supplier and transporter up­lifts at various depots
• Tracking product purchases by way of supplier and transporter uplifts and devising contingency measures
• Management of diseconomy (collating support­ing documents, submission of claims and follow ups) as approved by the Department of Energy
• Ensure that orders are created for contracted transporters at designated loading points.
• Ensure that all operations comply with the com­pany HSSE standards and procedures.
• Promote HSSE in line with company strategy
• Carry out month end closures in line with the requirements of the business
