BRANCH MANAGERS

Sefalana Cash & Carry, a leading distributor of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in Botswana, has opportunities for experienced managers at its various retail outlets across the country. The selected candidates will undergo a basic three (3) to six (6) months training to establish them on the company’s systems and procedures, business model, and corporate culture.

The ideal candidate must have:

• a minimum of a Botswana General Certificate in Secondary Education (BGCSE) or an equivalent A higher academic qualification will be an added advantage.
• at least five (5) years’ work experience in a middle management position within an FMCG environment with a direct exposure to the day to day retail business
• proficient in coordinating daily business operations and able to drive business
• be willing/prepared to relocate to anywhere in Botswana where the business has
• be able to motivate and inspire diverse team members to deliver superior business results.
• able to read and interpret financial reports and develop meaningful action plans from them.
• be able to assess situations with accuracy and make sound and timely business
• be self-driven, customer-centric, attentive to details and observant of consumer
• a valid Class B driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

• supervise a team of subordinates to achieve team motivation and good business results.
• support human resource development initiatives as per the company’s business strategy.
• identify sales opportunities to ensure that the business achieves the set sales revenue targets
• ensure proper stock management practices to meet customers’ needs and minimize
• monitor pricing decisions and ensure that the business achieves the set gross profit targets.
• manage operating expenses and ensure that the business reaches the set financial budgets.
• apply shrinkage control measures to minimize stock losses and promote employee participation in minimizing stock losses.
• ensure that the business operations maintain desirable hygiene/housekeeping
• build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders g customers and suppliers.
