Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to (i) train and educate undergraduate students using and developing new and appropriate teaching methods (ii) participate in all academic activities of the department (iii) serve on committees within the college and external professional organisations (iv) facilitate partnerships internally and externally (v) initiate, develop and establish research programmes with other staff in the department (vi) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department

Competencies & Skills

Knowledge and experience in facilitation of learning.

Ability to design teaching and learning resources for a variety of learning styles. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing complex ideas and recommendations and ability to establish and monitor fiscal accountability within areas of responsibility.

The candidate should have demonstrated research projects/training as well as conference presentation. The Candidate should have the ability to work with faculty, staff and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Qualification & Experience: Emergency Medical Care

• Master’s Degree in Emergency Medical Care or equivalent
• Atleast two (2) years clinical and teaching experience
• Post graduate diploma in education (added advantage)
• Registration with Botswana Health Professions Council or equivalent

Qualifications & Experience: Anatomy & Physiology

• PhD in Physiology as an added advantage,
• Masters of Science, (Applied Biology and Biochemistry)
• Atleast 3years teaching experience at tertiary level.
• Membership to relevant professional body,

Qualification & Experience: Occupational Health & Safety

The position requires

• MSc Occupational Health & Safety / MSc in Safety Health & Environmental Management or MPH (Environmental and Occupational Health), MSc Environmental Health
• BQA registration
• Membership to relevant professional body
• Atleast 3 years teaching experience at Tertiary Level
