Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd, (TMB) is a Botswana registered Company and an emerging copper producer operating from Ghanzi, the Kalahari Copper Belt. TMB is targeting development of its Motheo Copper mine in 2021 and 2022, with its first production in 2023.

1. HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER – (Tenable in Gaborone)

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing functional Human Resources Services, Administration, and Support which encompasses Recruitment, Job analysis, information dissemination according to prevailing human resources policies and procedures; and as directed for all Sandfire’s Botswana operations and exploration activities.

Key Performance Areas

• Maintain, Review and Implement Company Policies and Procedures.
• Produce accurate HR Statistics timeously.
• Ensure accurate record keeping of leave days daily and produce accurate HR monthly reports timeously.
• Advise Management on vacancies as per the recruitment plan.
• Ensure accuracy on payroll administration.
• Ensure accurate information on job grades and keep a job descriptions file for all positions.
• Co-ordinate regular induction programmes for new employees.
• Compile all training costs and submit claim to HRDC.
• Maintain performance management checklist to ensure that performance reviews are being conducted bi-annually.
• Attend disciplinary and grievance hearings and take and produce minutes of the same.
• Adhere to TMB safety standards.

Technical Competencies

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational and Industrial Psychology/Sociology or equivalent.
• At least five to eight years mining industry experience in the Human Resources field.
