The Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) was established by the Competition Act, 2018 for the implementation of the Competition Act, 2018 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2018. The reviewed Acts resulted in the integration of the functions of the Competition and Consumer Protection unit to the new Authority and hence the new name. The Authority is the primary enforcement agency for Competition Law and Consumer Protection Law. The Authority is responsible for the prevention of, and redress for anti-competitive practices in the economy, the removal of constraints on the free play of competition in the market; and the protection of Consumers by means of investigation, prohibition and control of unfair business practices. The CCA wishes to attract into the following positions, professionals with a sound understanding of business dynamics, who are driven by a passion to deliver outstanding service.

 

Human Resource Assistant XI

The Job Purpose

Reporting to the Human Resource Officer, the position will be responsible for assisting with administration of HR policies and procedures, recruitment, employee welfare, health & safety and industrial relations.

The Job

The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:

• Administration functions for HR processes, policies and procedures.
• Assists with administrative and logistic arrangements for all HR activities.
• Verifies and processes staff applications and claims such as medical aid, insurance and pension schemes etc.
• Maintains and files personnel records such as sick leave, annual leave and medical aid documentation.

The Person

The right candidate will possess the following;

• At least two (2) years’ experience in human resources administration, industrial relations and/or training and development.
• Bachelor’s Degree Human Resource Management, Social Sciences or any other related fields.
• Knowledge of human resource related software packages would be an added advantage.
