PROCUREMENT OFFICER – NutriFeeds Botswana

Job Description

Responsible for the overall control of raw materials, pre-mixes, packaging materials, and medication stock levels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for amongst others the following:

• Ensure minimal delivery trucks standing time.
• Manage truck seals and maintain security truck seal register.
• minimize stock levels and avoid obsolete/redundant products.
• Assist in the preparation of CAPEX and maintain CAPEX register.
• Communicate and coordinate with suppliers to prevent late or incorrect deliveries.
•  Manage daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts to ensure accurate reconciliations.
• Maintain appropriate communication with suppliers and transporters to execute the procurement plans.
• Undertake any other morally reasonable duties asked of to meet the exigencies of service.

The prospective candidate must possess the following attributes:

• Computer literate.
• Numerically competent.
• Good time management.
• Self-motivated with multi-tasking skills.
• Accounting with accurate reporting skills.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical ability with proven problem-solving skills.
• Good accounting background will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge and understanding of stock control with basic administrative skills.
• Minimum of CIPS level 5 or its equivalence with at least two (2) years experience in the Procurement environment.

The position attracts a negotiable competitive market-related salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
