Job Description

ABM University College invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for an exciting career opportunity as Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs, tenable at the Gaborone Block 6 Campus.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs will provide effective Management and Academic leadership to the Academic Division, by establishing and overseeing the Institution’s academic agenda in such a way as to contribute to the achievement of the University’s Strategic objectives and Plans. The Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs will also provide leadership on strategic and operational planning including development, implementation and review of academic strategy and provide leadership that expounds culture of excellence and enterprise as well as liaise with stakeholders to develop and maintain strategic academic partnerships and lead collaborations on the design and implementation of innovative strategies affecting the future of higher learning.

Position Requirement

To be considered for this position, you should have a PhD (earned Doctorate) from a recognized University and a minimum of 5 years as a full Professor, with strong academic credentials (publication and research output). You will also have a minimum of 12 years relevant work experience, with at least 5 years spent in a leadership role in an Institution of Higher learning (at the level of Dean or above).
