MEDICINE DISPENSING PROGRAM OFFICER – BPOMAS

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

a) The Medicine Dispensing Program Officer will be reporting to Managed Care Programs Manager and will be responsible for implementing and driving the chronic medicines dispensing program of the Scheme.
b) The Officer will ensure optimal delivery and high performance of the program in line with the Service Level Agreements between the Scheme and its clients.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a) To identify and vet eligible retail pharmacies and medicine distributors for participation in the program.
b) To coordinate the enrolment of eligible beneficiaries into the program.
c) To oversee and manage the performance of contracted pharmacies and distributors.
d)To oversee and manage all administrative processes of the program.
e)To maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of the program.
f) To manage correspondence between the Scheme and all relevant stakeholders.
g) To prepare monthly and quarterly reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

a)A Pharmacy Degree from a recognized institution.
b)A Post-graduate qualification or professional development in any related field will be an added advantage.

 

EXPERIENCE

a) Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience
b) Experience in program management is strongly desirable.
c) Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations governing pharmaceutical services in the country.
