DRILL RIG PROJECT MANAGER – Mitchell Drilling Botswana

Mitchell Drilling Botswana is a diverse drilling services Company dedicated to safe, efficient and innovative Drilling program delivery for mining projects. It is run by seasoned Drill rig Operators, Geologists, Drill Rig Equipment Mechanics, Drill Safety Coordinators with extensive experience in management of drill contracts. The Company is currently looking to fill the following positions to be based in Botswana.

In order to fulfil our obligations to our current drill programs in Botswana, as well as the company in general, all candidates should have at least 10 years’ experience with the technical, mechanical, administrative, drilling, and operational requirements and logistics of large drilling operations in remote locations. A sound knowledge of drilling equipment such as Sandvik UDR 1500 Drill Rig’s and Sandvik DE 710’s is a must.

All candidates must have a sound knowledge of Diamond Drilling Surface Core Methods, Reverse Circulation Drilling Methods, Deep Hole Drilling Methods, Mud rotation operator – LDD, Large diameter drilling a must and Blast Hole Drilling.

DRILL RIG PROJECT MANAGER

Successful candidates must have extensive knowledge and experience in the development of teams and individuals, coordinate geotechnical drilling and exploration operations, mineral production and drilling operation, supervise directional deep hole drilling operations and ensuring that quality standards are surpassed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven track record in project management of Large drilling projects in different environments is a must
• Institution of Occupational Safety and Health: Fugro Academy
• Conducting a continuous risk assessment in a workplace: Data Matrix Education & Training
• Lift and Move a Load using Mechanical Lifting Equipment: AMJ Training Pty Ltd,
• Fall Arrest Technician: Institution for Work at Height,
• Perform First Aid in the Workplace NQF Level2, Unit Standard-120496: TZM Services,
• Operate Truck Mounted Cranes with Manlift Bucket: Above and Beyond Training Solutions
• Medium Voltage XLPE Cable Jointing and Terminating: Technology Integrated Solutions
• Vehicle Specific 4×4 Driver Training Course: Will of Africa Training
