Maintenance Planner – MP Mining

Job Description

Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all Asset Management strategy tasks and associated resources are planned and performed, and also in order to conform to company health, safety and environmental standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure effective Backlog Management, Planned Maintenance and inspection control, short term-, mid-term-, & long-term planning, and Job Folder creation
• Assist in defining the base maintenance strategy which drives the maintenance program and life cycle cost engine
• Import and interpret condition monitoring data.
• Knowledge of safety. Health, Environment and Quality standards related to mining.
• Assist in the Registration of Assets and Maintenance of Asset register Job Requirements
• National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Heavy Plant Mechanic
• Minimum 4 years experience as a Heavy Plant Mechanic
• 3 Years Maintenance Planning experience preferably in a mining environment

Asset Management and maintenance planning qualifications would be an added advantage
