Scaffolding Erector – MP Mining

Job Description

Responsible for assembling and disassembling scaffolding systems. They must be able to read plans, follow instructions, and use their hands to assemble complex structures. Scaffold erectors must also be aware of safety regulations and standards when working on these structures.

Key Responsibilities;

• Inspecting all scaffold components prior to assembly to ensure that components used are of similar material and in good condition
• Maintaining fall protection requirements while erecting or dismantling scaffolds
• Design and preplanning of the scaffold including weight limitations, scaffold type, fall protection, tie-offs, supports, etc.
• Overseeing the erection of the scaffold
• Final inspection of the scaffold prior to initial occupation for use.
• Daily inspection and documentation of the condition of the scaffold and its ability to be occupied safely.
• Inspections of scaffolds after changes / alterations have been made.
• Oversight and inspections of mobile scaffolds

Minimum Requirements:

• Scaffolding erectors certificate
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience
