Head of Treasury Sales / Team Lead – Coverage
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day overseeing of the Treasury Sales Desk and ensure the FX Sales strategy is in place and well executed. The job requires close liaison with existing clients as well as attaining new client base, with more emphasis on identifying customer needs on global markets transactions and assisting the bank in establishing profitable solutions to these needs in a changing economic environment.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ The role holder will partic ipate in the da ily treasury Sales strategy meetings and execute agreed strategies intended to grow deal income on FX transactions.
⦁ The job also entails identification of service deficiencies and provision of solutions to improve customer satisfaction. This requires regular interaction with clients to get feedback.
⦁ To manage own and all Sales Dealer’s portfolios with more emphasis on Forex and making sure that all deals are done in line with Local and Group limits and requirements.
⦁ Cross sell the bank products and services.
⦁ Ensure synergy between Global Markets. Wholesale Banking & Retail Segments for effective solutions provision to clients to maximize FX revenue.
⦁ Entertain clients, and conduct seminars to discuss new products, economic trends and fundamentals, and any other new market developments deemed relevant
⦁ Conduct regular customer visits to market the banks treasury products, with the aim to cross sell where possible.
⦁ Improve product offering including risk management products.
⦁ Call customers daily, to provide them with an overview of the FX markets, and to explain what it means to their line of business.
⦁ To initiate, grow and maintain profitable client relationships and to provide after sales service to ensure client retention.
⦁ Should respond to all clients’ FX related queries, and those beyond scope should be referred to the relevant departments.
⦁ Should treat all clients fairly.
⦁ Declare all gifts received, and all conflicts of interest should be escalated to the head of Global Markets and Treasury.

Key Requirements for this role
⦁ First Degree Essential Qualifications
⦁ ACI dealing certificate & Professional Qualifications in Finance. Business. Economics, or related fields Preferred Qualifications
⦁ Post Graduate Qualification as an added advantage
⦁ 3 to 5 years Global Markets and Treasury Experience
