Team Leader, Branch

Job Purpose
To manage and develop a team and all other available resources (people, process and systems) within the branch to entrench a strong client-focused culture that will enable high-quality service to all customers. To take demand from walk-in customer or any cash, sales and service-related matters, whilst forming an accurate assessment and understanding of that demand in order to act on it in a manner that consistently delivers what matters to the customer within the required parameters.
Responsibilities
⦁ Assess and analyse all data and information, in collaboration with the team, related to the branch’s resources (people, process, systems) to make the required decisions and enhancements to ensure there is sufficient capability to meet customer demands.
⦁ Oversee and guide the team in the handling and response of client demands to ensure that client needs are attended to immediately, comprehensively and according to laid-down procedures and within risk parameters.
⦁ Oversee customer transactions and the handling of cash within the bank to ensure operational efficiencies, accuracy and adherence to laid-down procedures and prescribed limits.
⦁ Assess, identify and monitor all forms of risk and implement and maintain suitable controls across the team activities and operations to ensure effective mitigation of potential risks and adherence to risk management standards to reduce exposure.
Qualifications
⦁ Degree in Banking. Finance. Business Commerce or related field
⦁ Certificate of Proficiency: Long & Short term
Knowledge & Experience
⦁ 3 – 4 years’ experience in branch banking or contact centre environment with good understanding of bank processes, policies and products.
⦁ The ability to verify, scrutinise and assess account application submissions received.
⦁ Sound knowledge of the Bank’s laid down policies and procedures as it relates to the processing of customer transactions.
⦁ The ability to assess if the customer qualifies to receive the services applied for. based on established parameters and criteria.
Knowledge and understanding of the features, benefits and pricing of the products and services on offer to Personal Banking customers across multiple customer segments.
