Grade Controller – MP Mining

Job Description

Reporting to the Mine Geologist, the position is responsible for continuous monitoring of ore loading faces for change in lithology and mineralization, subsequently dispatch trucks to the correct stockpiles as per ore type and grade.

Key Responsibilities;

• Assesses the quality of ore in mining perimeter contacts and adjust the boundary from time to time to minimize dilution.
• Assesses the quality of ore loaded and direct the truck to the relevant stockpile as per ore loading and ore stockpiling plan.
• Tallies the trucks from the loading areas and their destinations.
• Blends ore into the crusher following the blending plan for the day.
• Ensure that all blasthole samples are collected and dispatched to the laboratory timeously and accurately.
• Ensure that all sampling standards are monitored and maintained.
• Adherence to safety, health, environmental and archaeology standards and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• O’level or BGCSE
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in mining industry
• Knowledge of grade quality and mineralization
