BRANCH MANAGER – FARMING CROP SOLUTIONS

We are looking for a Branch Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring that a company adopts the best agricultural practices by providing data based on research and conducting experiments. To meet a standard and establish the best farm practice, you must have a thorough knowledge of plant needs and requirements. Continuously review the protocols to ensure their adaptability to the farm’s new and forthcoming equipment.

Responsibilities

⦁ Ensure accurate knowledge or trustworthy referrals to make crop production recommendations to farmers.
⦁ Manage field trials, plant physiology, and irrigation techniques.
⦁ Conduct surveys of customer fields for weed, insect, disease, and nutrition problems
⦁ Ensure that application of seeding, fertility, and pesticide occurs when weather conditions are optimal.
⦁ Gather, compile, analyze, and interpret test results and prepare progress reports.
⦁ Analyze crop claim issues as needed.
⦁ Document field evaluation of seeds, chemicals, specialty products, and fertilizers.
⦁ Provide agronomic training for employees responsible for sales and marketing.
⦁ Maintain a current understanding of crop nutrition and protection.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
⦁ Preferably with one (1) year of relevant experience in the agriculture/food production industry.
⦁ Additional certifications may be required.
⦁ Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
⦁ Proficiency with computers, especially Google Applications
⦁ Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.
Strong research, decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
