Job Purpose
To drive exceptional sales activities through professional advise and world class customer service within the Affluent Segment in line with agreed budgets and strategic objectives so as to maximize profitability and growth. This includes new business acquisition and maintenance activities through leadership and management of a team of professional sales Team. Further; Recruit, Train, Accredit, Develop, Coach and Support the team for higher productivity.

Drives exceptional sales performance for the business for target attainment
Draws strategies on the acquisition of new clients and ensures achievement of set objectives
Allocates sales leads to designated FA and obtain feedback of conversion or non-conversion. Give monthly reporting on leads conversion.
Supervises take-up of the new sales platform in the team and compliance to sales IT processes and procedures.
Ensures that the new business issuing processes are being implemented and adhered to in the team.
Ensures new business turnaround times are adhered to and the correct new business documentation is submitted by FA’s.
Conduct Branch Induction and Orientation with the newcomer in week 1 of their appointment.
Submit monthly report to HR Distribution on progress of newcomer and arrange for Financial Advisor to sign off the newcomer Logbook at the end of the 6-month vesting period.
Report any FA who is failing to meet regulatory requirements and who might put a compliance risk on the team, region and company.
Ensure that FA’s complete record of advice for each case submitted and that FA’s business conduct is ethical and in line with the company and regulatory requirements and legislation.
Leads a culture of high performance within portfolio of FA’s through transactional and motivational leadership, ensuring that the sales team meet sales goals, is supported, trained, up-skilled, performance managed and rewarded appropriately.
Manages the strict compliance to the relevant regulatory and legislative requirements that is applicable and impacts FA’s.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or related
5 years post qualification-related experience in Sales and Marketing management
COP is mandatory
Financial Planning Certification is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies
Be able to manage and guide diverse teams
Manage relationships, both Individual and Corporate
Be able to implement distribution strategy as well as tactical strategies to influence sales
Plan and coordinate sales activities
