BENEFITS:
a) A fixed term contract of 36 months with gratuity of 30% payable at the end of the contract.
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human resources, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, Strategic Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience, of which two (2) years must have been served as Chief Administration Officer I at D3 salary scale level or its equivalent.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Coordinate human resource functions; recruitment and selection, training and development, industrial relations, and other human resource and Administration issues.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
1. Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation of human resources and administrative policies to customers.
2. Interpret Human Resource policies to customers.
3. Coordinate recruitment processes in the department.
4. Facilitate grievance handling and disciplinary procedures.
5. Conduct comprehensive appraisal system.
6. Implement and recommend policy reviews.
7. Monitor Human Resource compliance in the department.
8. Attend to staff welfare issues.
9. Prepare manpower estimates/ requirements.
10. Prepare procurement plans and monitor human resources expenditure.
11. Authorise payment vouchers, casualty returns and purchases.
12. Provide secretarial services to Appointment/Promotions Boards.
13. Attend to customer enquiries and queries.
14. Undertake any other related duties as may be assigned by Management for the exigency of the Civil Service.
