BENEFITS:

LEAVE: 30 working days per annum.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Library and information Studies.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience in a relevant field, of which two (2) years must have been served as Principal Records Manager II at D3 or equivalent.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To plan, manage and oversee the implementation of records management programes.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
1. Guide customers on records management standards and procedures.
2. Conduct records management sensitization workshops for customers.
3. Attend customer queries and requests.
4. Provide guidance to Departments on the development of classification schemes and retention and disposal schedule.
5. Develop and monitor the implementation of the Records Management annual plan.
6. Coordinate the development of file classification schemes, retention and disposal schedule.
7. Coordinate the development and review of guidelines and procedures for records management.
8. Develop a business continuity plan.
9. Coordinate the periodic inspections of records management service delivery in Departments.
10. Manage and review supervisee’s performance.
11. Prepare budget proposal for the Unit.
12. Analyze records management status reports and recommend appropriate action.
13. Undertake any other related duties as may be assigned by Management for the exigency of the Civil Service.
