Technician (Phones & Laptops)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Phone Technician to join our team. As a Phone Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile phones and other handheld devices. Position: Phone Technician

Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose hardware and software issues on a variety of mobile phone models and handheld devices.
2. Perform repairs and replacements for damaged components, such as screens, batteries, charging ports, and cameras.
3. Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on repaired devices to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
4. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, providing technical support, and offering advice on device maintenance.
5. Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and customer interactions in our database management system.
6. Stay updated on the latest phone models, technologies, and repair techniques through continuous learning and professional development.
7. Collaborate with team members to optimize repair processes, streamline workflows, and maintain a well-organized and efficient repair center.
8. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures when handling sensitive components and working with hazardous materials.
9. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking of parts and accessories.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a professional and efficient service experience for customers.

Requirements:

1. diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant training in phone repairs are a plus.
2. Proven experience of at least 2 years as a Phone Technician or similar role, with a strong track record of successful phone repairs.
3. In-depth knowledge of mobile phone hardware, operating systems (e.g., iOS, Android), and common software applications.
4. Proficiency in using phone repair tools and equipment, such as screwdrivers, soldering irons, heat guns, and diagnostic software.
5. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
6. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity to handle small components and perform delicate repairs.
7. Outstanding customer service and communication skills to interact with customers professionally and effectively.
8. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple repair tasks simultaneously.
9. Familiarity with industry safety standards and protocols for handling electronic devices and hazardous materials.
10. Flexibility to adapt to changing technology trends and work schedules, including weekends or evenings as required.
