Plant Shift Coordinator – MP Mining

Job Description

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for the following;

• Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of work within all relevant quality specifications.
• Draws up operational plans and schedules for the shift based on set targets and standards ensuring optimal utilization of resources in terms of manpower, time, and materials.
• Coordinates and monitors the implementation of production plans to ensure that target plant throughput is attained
• Drive performance of team members by monitoring and mentorship/training where required.
• Enforces and monitors compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Monitors utilization of resources to ensure effective financial cost control, and takes corrective action as required.
• Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns in the process plant
• Contribute to the improvement of working procedures by constantly looking for solutions.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the process plant.
• Report and rectify process operational deficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BGCSE
• 10 years working experience as a Process Plant Coordinator.
• Ability to sustain and develop team working and team-based problem solving.
• Ability to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives.
• Adaptable to change and varying situations, ability to show resilience and a flexible approach.
• Strong people management and leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
