PLUMBING AND PIPE FITTING TECHNICIAN LECTURERS – GRANJO TRAINERS & CONSULTANTS

Granjo Holdings a Botswana Qualification Authority (BQA) registered and accredited vocational school & training center seek to recruit highly motivated and well experienced self-driven technician lecture in our Technical Engineering courses, As a Plumbing Lecturer, your core responsibilities involve instructing students in a wide array of vital plumbing topics. These include educating them on safety protocols in plumbing, familiarizing them with plumbing tools, equipment, pipe materials, and relevant codes and regulations. You will also guide students in understanding water supply systems, flow analysis, and distribution, as well as the design aspects of residential and commercial plumbing. Teaching drainage and wastewater management, water heating systems, gas plumbing and piping, sustainable plumbing practices, emergency plumbing services, installation and commissioning procedures, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair techniques, and maintenance practices are integral parts of your role. Your comprehensive instruction equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful plumbing career.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, install, repair, maintenance, operate and test equipment and systems of Plumbing and Pipe Fitting.
• Build and test prototypes.
• Conduct life tests assemblies and record and analyse the results.
• Evaluate and grade students class work, laboratory work, assignments, and papers.
• Prepares and submits reports on students’ progress in portfolio building as required.
• Participates in various college committees and coordinates related activities as may be required.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
• Prepare course materials, such as syllabus, homework assignments, and handouts
• Conduct projects, research with clients and engineers.
• Develop and control schedules and budgets.
• Understand and follow technical manuals to adjust and correct equipment and instruments.
• Help develop estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience will be added advantage.
• Speak, write and read English.
• Certificate, Diploma or Degree or Equivalent related qualification (s) in PLUMBING AND PIPE FITTING
• Oral, written and diagrammatic communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear concepts.
• A high level of technical knowledge and IT skills.
• Strong analysis and practical problem-solving abilities to improve designs.
• Creativity, innovation and attention to detail.
• Strategic thinking and commercial awareness of the industry you’re in.
• Organisation, project management and leadership skills.
