Stock Controller

Job Description

Our Client in the catering industry is looking for two experienced Stock Controllers to join their Team.

Job Details

• • Assist with Ordering of Food Stock as per Chef Requirement, whilst staying within budget.
  • Receiving of stock and ensuring that invoices match the actual stock delivered.
  • Responsible for Stock Rotation
  • You will be responsible for issuing of Stock.
  • Ensure that all transfers, invoices and requisitions are up to date, captured and delivered to accounts Department
  • Conduct and assist with Stock takes when required
  • Capturing of invoices into the System, maintaining daily consumption reports.
  • Attend weekly departmental meetings and report on any variances.
  • Investigate variances and Communicate to Operations Manager
  • Develop, implement, and maintain best practices in stock control for (not limited to) beverages, food, chemicals, consumables etc
  • Implement and monitor food and beverage cost controls and operating procedures.
  • Accounting, cost of sales and GP% Formulas and calculations
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • You will be required to build a team, train, and maintain the team
  • Adhere to the companies & the departments’ rules & regulations regarding your dress code & personal hygiene
  • Abide by all policies and procedures
  • Must be analytical and have the drive to find and fix any errors

Skills & Qualifications

• The successful candidate must be able to manage personnel effectively.
• Must have previous Management / Supervisory Experience.
• Must have previous Food & Beverage Stock Management Experience.
• Schedule employee shift rotations.
• Must be detailed orientated.
• Good organisation skills and Excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and must be a team player.
• Must be self-motivated and should be able to work with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Certificate in Food & Beverage / Stock Control
• 5 Years + experience with good references
• Computer Literate
• Must be eligible to work in Botswana.

General Conditions

• Shift Rotation
• 4 day Off rotations
• 24 month contract
• Salary negotiable.
• Remote Location
• Onsite accommodation and meals whilst on shift.
