Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Description

Our client, an accounting firm, is looking for a skilled and dedicated Risk and Compliance Officer to join their team. The candidates should be interested in a meaningful career and making a positive difference to our client’s organization and the country’s economy. The incumbent’s responsibilities include ensuring that our client’s company operates in full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. They will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact business operations.

Key requirements include but are not limited to the following:

• Facilitating the development, implementation, enforcement and maintenance of the company’s risk and control policies and procedures in line with Regulations and sourcing and using latest technology and applications for ensuring easy client and internal KYC and Risk & Compliance and AML assessments
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensuring that all staff are aware of all applicable frameworks, policies and procedures through continuous internal training and communication.
• Investigate and resolve any compliance issues or breaches that may arise.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on risk and compliance activities for Management.
• Proven experience working in Risk management and compliance industry/sector.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of trends in compliance and/or risk management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• responding to queries from the regulators and the public
• Candidate should be highly self-motivated and organized, able to track assessments of 1000+ clients at any time.

Qualifications

• Candidates with a degree in Risk & Compliance and/or Registered with BICA will be highly considered.
• Preference will be given to Citizen applications.
