Maintenance Planner (Heavy Equipment Workshop) – MP Mining

Job Description

• Developing and reviewing Maintenance Programs as per OEM guidelines.
• Planning and scheduling short- and medium-term Maintenance Activities then coordinating the implementation of Planned Maintenance Work ensuring compliance to the issued work package/Repair Service Guidelines
• Issues and obtains all relevant permits (hot work, electrical isolation, confined space permit, working at heights, excavation, red tag) necessary to carry out maintenance tasks.
• Provide feedback to the supervisor on tasks completed to ensure that equipment maintenance history is captured and documented correctly.
• Ensuring accurate scoping of planned jobs time estimates & resources needed.
• Developing short- & long-term schedule of work orders to be worked on each crew.
• Assisting in the Manpower Utilisation (Wrench time over total hours)
• Ensuring an updated asset register on CMMS
• Ensuring quality feedback on work orders from Workshops
• Develop & maintain work packages for Preventative Maintenance Task
• Above all, focusing on continuous improvement of maintenance efficiency & equipment reliability.
• Attends to all administrative functions of the position, taking cognizance of the need to create a clear audit trail.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Heavy Plant Mechanic
• 8 years post qualifying experience and 4 years on a Planning Role
• Driver’s license – Class B
