SITE /SECTION FOREMAN
Applicant must have previous work experience as a Site Foreman with more than 6 years experience in construction industry.

Overview
The Site/Section Foreman is a key construction management role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and supervision of a specific area or section of a construction site. The Site/Section Foreman works closely with the General Foreman and project management team to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

– Manage and direct the activities of a crew of skilled tradesmen, including carpenters, masons, electricians, and laborers, to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks
– Develop and implement detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies for the assigned section or area of the construction site
– Interpret and communicate construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements to the crew, ensuring that work is performed to quality standards
– Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality control measures within the assigned section
– Identify and resolve on-site issues and challenges promptly, using effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
– Provide hands-on guidance, training, and mentorship to the construction crew to support skills development and improve productivity
– Maintain accurate records of material usage, labor hours, equipment utilization, and project progress for the assigned section
– Coordinate with the General Foreman, project managers, and other subcontractors to ensure the seamless integration of work activities across the construction site
– Participate in pre-construction meetings, site visits, and progress meetings to provide updates, address concerns, and contribute to problem-solving
– Assist in the procurement and management of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for the assigned section
– Collaborate with the safety team to implement and enforce safety policies, conduct site inspections, and address any safety-related concerns
– Promote a positive work culture, foster teamwork, and encourage open communication among the construction crew

 Qualifications

– Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or in a similar construction supervisory role
– Formal training or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field, such as a technical diploma or equivalent
– Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and safety best practices
– Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of skilled tradesmen
– Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
– Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities to address on-site challenges
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the construction crew, project management team, and other stakeholders
– Familiarity with construction scheduling software, material tracking systems, and project management techniques
– Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, with a focus on accident prevention and regulatory compliance
– Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required by the construction project schedule
