Our Client, the Botswana Housing Corporation, a statutory corporation in the Property Development and Estates Management business, is currently looking for a dynamic, self-driven individual with a solid track record and demonstratable Human Resource experience to take up the role of Senior Officer – Human Resources Based in Francistown (Northern Region).

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the delivery of HR administrative services of the Corporation. Either directly or through third-party service providers, the role is also responsible for, inter alia, Employee welfare benefits, Payroll administration, Recruitment, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Learning and Development.
JOB SUMMARY
The person will be responsible for among other things, the following:
•Assists in development, implementation and review of policies and procedures.
•Assesses and advises management in the appropriate resolution of employee/ industrial relations issues.
•Implements recruitment and selection process (Advertisement, Shortlisting, Interviewing and engagement).
•Implements strategy aligned learning and development initiatives (Placement, monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness.
•Maintains the Human Resource database so that it is kept up-to-date and is accurate.
•Establishes office requirements and allocates offices as per office/sections requirement.
•Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of the departmental budget.
•Provides information on Human Resource projects taking place in the section, highlighting their progress, successes, downfalls and advice on identified areas of improvement.
•Facilitates the implementation of Performance Management System (objective setting and performance appraisals.
•Undertakes other such duties as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONSAND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Organisational/lndustrial Psychology, Business Administration/ Management or related fields.
•A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
•Professional membership of a recognized Human Resource Management Institute or HR certifications
(e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) will be an added advantage.
•A minimum of six (6) years of experience in Human Resource Management roles, with exposure to compensation, benefits,
learning and development, performance management, recognition, work-life balance, human capital resourcing, and HRIS.
•Experience at the junior/specialist/Officer-Human Resources level is required.
