Site Engineer x6: 5 years’ post qualification experience. BSc/B.Eng. Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Proven track record in quality control and project management. ERB or equivalent is preferred.

Job Summary

The Site Engineer is responsible for managing all technical aspects of construction projects at the job site. They serve as the primary technical and engineering lead, overseeing the implementation of design plans, coordinating with various contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all applicable building codes and safety regulations.

 Key Responsibilities

– Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential issues or conflicts
– Develop project schedules and timelines in coordination with the construction team
– Monitor construction progress and quality to ensure adherence to design plans and standards
– Conduct regular site inspections and provide detailed progress reports
– Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve problems and make necessary adjustments
– Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements
– Manage the procurement and distribution of materials, equipment, and other resources
– Supervise and coordinate the work of various subcontractors and trades
– Provide technical guidance and support to the construction crew as needed
– Maintain detailed records and documentation related to the project

Required Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
– Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a site engineer or in a similar construction-related role
– Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
– Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
– Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Proficient in the use of relevant software and technologies (e.g., CAD, project management tools)
– Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

– Professional engineering (P.E.) license
– Experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects
– Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building techniques
– Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CMIT)
