Pro Shop Admin – Stanbic Bank Gaborone Golf Club

The Stanbic Bank Gaborone Golf Club is looking for a competent and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Pro-Shop Admin. The candidate should have a background in Accounting or Business Administration and a proven experience working in an admin and/or accounting role in a professional environment.

This role primarily includes;

• Data Entry
• Supervision and leadership
• Daily Sales to Club Clientele
• Receiving Payments for Subscriptions, Golfing Events and Tournaments
• Inventory Handling
• Assisting Members and Visitors
• Any Supportive Duties as directed by Management

Duties and Responsibilities;

• Collecting daily player fees from club members and visitors
• Ensuring that daily sales are recorded and entered correctly in the system
• Analyzing daily sales cash-up reports and resolving any discrepancies identified
• Re-ordering Shop stock when needed and ensuring adequate stock levels are kept at all times
• Physical stock verification and Receiving shop stock into the system
• Performing stock takes, reconciling quantity on hand stock levels to the system
• Supervising other shop staff members and reviewing their sales reports
• Responding to members and other clients’ queries
• Ensuring players adhere to club policies and supporting management during tournaments and other corporate events.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma / Equivalent qualification in Accounting or any business related course
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Computer literate
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in Clubmaster POS system will be an added advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs – Excel, Word, PDF, etc.
