Lobatse Clay Works is a leading manufacturer in the construction industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality clay products while driving sustainable growth and operational excellence. We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as a General Manager.

Position: 

The General Manager will be accountable for the overall long-term profitable growth of the organisation, overseeing strategic and operational performance, ensuring achievement of financial and operational goals, anddrivingorganisational transformation and sustainability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide strategic direction and execute initiatives aligned with the company’s vision.
• Ensure strong governance practices and manage organisational risks.
• Drive operational excellence, quality control, and productivity improvements.
• Oversee financial sustainability through effective budgeting and cost management.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and present high-level insights to the Board.
• Build and nurture stakeholder relationships, leading CSR and sustainability initiatives.
• Provide visionary leadership, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manages industrial relations, including union engagements, ensuring harmonious workplace dynamics.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s Degree in related fields will be an added advantage.
• At least 10 years in a leadership role with a proven track record of successful management and strategic leadership.
