Technical Abattoir Manager Role:
This role involves overseeing the technical operations of the abattoir,
ensuring that the processes of slaughter, processing, and meat handling are
conducted according to regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
tEnsuring Safety and Hygiene: Maintaining a clean and safe environment to
prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
tQuality Control: Monitoring meat quality and ensuring it meets standards
for safety and consumer acceptability. Quality control and monitoring the
entire processing chain, utilising HACCP
t Process Optimization: Improving efficiency and effectiveness of slaughter
and processing operations.
tEquipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and operation of
abattoir equipment.
t Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
tStaff Training: Training and supervising abattoir staff on safety procedures
and quality control.

Skills and Qualifications:
t Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of abattoir operations, meat
processing, and food safety regulations.
tLeadership and Management: Ability to lead and manage a team of
abattoir workers.
tProblem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues that arise in
the abattoir.
t Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively convey
information to staff and stakeholders.

Requirement:
tAt least 15 years of experience in a technical management role within the
meat processing industry
tStrong knowledge of food safety and quality regulations
t Excellent leadership and team management skills
t Proven track record in process improvement and cost reduction
tStrong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive technical
excellence.
tExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
