DATA PROTECTION OFFICER – National Agricultural Research and Development Institute (NARDI)

Main Purpose of the Job:

To oversee the Institute’s data protection strategy to ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as the Data Protection Act; develop and ensure the implementation of data protection policies and procedures to safeguard institutional information and effective management of noncompliance; and serve as the primary point of contact for data subjects, data protection and regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Enterprise Risk Management, Law, or any related field.

Experience:

• At least three (3) years post-qualification experience in data processing, compliance and security, and implementation of security audits in a business environment.
