Job Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Financial Manager to join our Petroleum Business Unit based in Gaborone. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, analysing, and reporting financial and management information. Key areas include financial reporting, working capital, budgeting, and maintaining financial controls in line with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations of the Business Unit.
• Manage, monitor, and control costs against approved budgets.
• Prepare, review, and report detailed budgets and highlight any significant variances.
• Ensure timely and accurate internal and external financial reporting.
• Lead monthly and annual forecasting processes based on operational needs.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies and relevant legal regulations.
• Manage working capital and the Business Unit’s asset base.
• Compile and review financial statements and liaise with auditors.
• Contribute to strategic planning and provide financial input on key projects.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide insight on financial implications.
• Assist in developing financial systems that reduce risk and improve control.

Minimum Requirements

• B.Com Honours Degree or equivalent Postgraduate Diploma.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a financial management role.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
