Lodge Operations and Talent Development Manager

Afro Ventures Botswana, trading as andBeyond, is seeking a capable, stable, and high-energy Lodge Operations and Talent Development Manager to support the delivery of extraordinary guest experiences and to nurture the professional growth of hospitality teams across our Botswana lodges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee lodge operations across departments to ensure service excellence and consistency
• Support talent development through mentorship, skills enhancement initiatives, and operational coaching
• Work closely with lodge leaders to ensure hospitality standards meet both BTO grading and internal benchmarks
• Guide business unit budgeting processes and monitor performance within defined financial lines
• Prepare and present strategic and operational reports to senior leadership
• Foster collaboration and communication across lodges, ensuring alignment and shared learning
• Host key trade and group bookings, including VIP guests and travel agents
• Liaise with andBeyond’s skills development partners to support learning targets across departments
• Promote and uphold andBeyond’s culture, values, and service philosophy through regular engagement at lodge level
• Champion the Understudy Program in partnership with HR, supporting career development pathways for Heads of Department and their teams
• Contribute to local community development through support for Wild Impact projects

Qualifications & Experience:

• A diploma or degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in remote or luxury lodge environments.
• Strong budgeting and financial oversight capabilities
• Valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel frequently within Botswana.
• Familiarity with international hospitality trends, particularly in food and beverage
