Pipes and Tanks Manufacturing Machine Technician

The applicant should have at least a Certificate in Machineshop/Workshop Engineering; additional training in Hydraulics and Pneumatics is also a requirement. The applicant should have a minimum of 15 years post qualification work experience in handling plastic pipes and tanks production machines, extrusion lines and handling PVC, HDPE and LLDPE materials. The job entails ensuring that the production machines, working components and work areas are in safe operating conditions. Safely and efficiently operating a variety of machines, performing quality testing to ensure that appropriate machine adjustments can be made, performing necessary equipment repairs, and assisting with shipping functions related to the pipe extrusion manufacturing location. Designing, installing and maintaining Hydraulic and Pneumatics circuits. The candidate should be used to extruders and belling machines. The candidate must be willing to work in shifts and take up additional responsibilities to tackle the minor and major maintenance requirements as per ISO maintenance standards and reduce downtime.
