Western Apparels, a garment manufacturing company based in Gaborone, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant for their Group Companies which consist of the following:
•Western Apparels (Pty) Limited – Manufacturing
•Textile and Clothing Institute of Botswana – Education and Training Provider (ETP)
•Ghafoor Holdings (Pty) Limited – Property Holding
•Kgale Apartments (Pty) Limited – Property Holding
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage daily financial operations and maintain accurate financial records
•Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
•Ensure compliance with statutory tax and regulatory requirements (e.g. VAT, PAYE, WHT)
•Handle payroll processing and related reconciliations
•Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
•Provide financial insights to support decision-making
•Receive supplier invoices and manage stock inventory
Qualifications & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
•Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in manufacturing or related sectors)
•Membership with BICA or pursuing professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA)
•Proficient in the use of Sage Pastel Accounting Software and all Microsoft Office Applications
•Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and integrity
